Whitfield Building Contractors Ltd – Works order Terms and Conditions

1. Scope of Work

Whitfield Building Contractors Ltd agrees to carry out the work as specified in the Works Order. Any additional work or changes beyond the agreed scope must be requested in writing and may be subject to additional charges.

2. Estimates and Pricing

- Estimates provided are based on the available information at the time and are subject to change if additional work is required.

- All prices are exclusive/inclusive of VAT as applicable.

- If any unforeseen circumstances affect costs, the client will be informed, and an amended estimate will be issued for approval.

 

3. Payment Terms

- Payment terms will be outlined in the Works Order and must be adhered to.

- A deposit of 25% may be required prior to work commencing.

- Late payments may incur interest at 10% per day, in line with business practices.

 

4. Site Access and Responsibilities

- The client must ensure clear and safe access to the site for work to be completed efficiently.

- Any delays caused by restricted access or site conditions may result in additional costs and extensions to the completion timeline.

 

5. Workmanship and Warranty

- Whitfield Building Contractors Ltd guarantees workmanship for [Insert duration], provided the work is maintained correctly.

- We are not responsible for pre-existing structural issues or defects uncovered during work.

- Liability does not extend to damages caused by external factors beyond our control, such as extreme weather or third-party interference.

 

6. Variations and Amendments

- Adjustments will be discussed with the client before proceeding with any additional work.

 

7. Cancellation and Termination

- The client may cancel before work commences without penalty.

- If cancellation occurs after materials have been ordered or work has commenced, charges may apply to cover incurred costs.

 

8. Force Majeure

Whitfield Building Contractors Ltd is not responsible for delays or failure to perform caused by circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to material shortages, supplier delays, or severe weather conditions.

9. Dispute Resolution

Any concerns or disputes should be raised promptly, and Whitfield Building Contractors Ltd will seek to resolve them amicably.

10. Client Agreement

By proceeding with the Works Order, the client confirms they have read and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.
